My true love is the Lord.
He is ever faithful – My faithful Lord!
The Lord of Hosts is His name.
He cares for me.
He keeps watch over my heart.
He continually gives.
He protects and defines my life.
He places order within my life and
leads me down His paths of righteousness.
He teaches me His way.
I stand diligently watching and waiting for His return ~
that glorious day when He draws me away
with Him to glory!

As we are faithful in reading God’s Word, our joy becomes more evident. Each day brings new excitement and inspiration. There may be nothing of great relevance taking place, yet, there is a stirring deep within our spirit. Our hearts are glad, and on our faces we wear the Smile of the Lord.
We are suddenly aware of His presence and our hearts leap with delight.
We have been called by His Name. His Name! We are known by the Name of our God.
"You make me lie down in the loveliest settings..." ~ Psalm 23:2
~~~~~~~
Lord, You are my Shepherd –
You feed me
You watch over me
You guide me
You groom me
You protect me
Because of You I have no want ~no need
You make me lie down in the loveliest settings ~
Green pastures, and
You take me to places where I can refresh myself ~
beside quiet waters ~
where I can drink and be refreshed ~
where I can lie down and rest ~
where there is no turmoil ~
where there is peace for my soul.
I can close my eyes in peace knowing that You
are there watching over me.
As you lead me along Your path of righteousness,
I look up at You and know I am Your lamb.
I receive the best from the Great Shepherd.
Surely I am blessed. Surely I am loved.
When evil lurks about in the night like a predator
stalking to devour, I have no fear.
I continue walking forward because You are with me,
protecting and comforting me; gently tapping and prodding
me with Your rod of comfort and assurance.
Your staff glimmers in the moonlight assuring me
that I am safe, that You still lead me.
And though my enemies surround me,
You prepare a meal in their presence bidding me eat.
Your anointing flows over me as I feast.
I am filled to overflowing.
I delight myself in Your presence for I know that
should I live forever, there in Your house I shall find eternal goodness and kindness from You forevermore, my Shepherd.
For my trust is in You only, Lord!
"Show me Your way, Lord, teach me Your paths."
~ Psalm 25:4
I lift my soul to Him. I place my trust in Him. Because I am waiting for Him only, I shall not be ashamed.
Teach me Your ways, Oh Lord. Lead me in truth and place my feet upon Your path. Have compassion on me and don’t remember my ugly sins. You have forgiven me and I praise You for Your loving-kindness.
My Lord, You are good. You lead me in justice and teach me Your ways. Keep me humble, Father that I might follow You and learn from You only.
I want to keep my covenant with You. That is my sincere desire. Forgive me for broken promises and unkept vows.
Because I fear You, I know You will instruct me in Your ways and in the way I should go. You will prosper my soul and my children will also receive from You.
Lord, because I fear and seek after You, Your secrets shall be revealed and I shall know Your covenant. My eyes are upon You and I look to You for my safekeeping.
Only Your grace can guard my heart from loneliness. I look to you for deliverance from my sadness and worries.
Thank you for Your forgiveness. These troubles and enemies of my life seek to annihilate me, but I look to You for my safekeeping and deliverance.
You are my protector – my place of refuge. Let my heart be guarded because it trusts in You and knows Your precepts. It clings to you.
I await my deliverance from all my fears. Because You are my God, I know You are even now making my ways Your ways, and my desires Your desires. You lift me from the pit and place me on the Rock. For my trust is in You only, Lord.
Jesus said, "I am the true vine,
and my Father is the Gardener."
John 15:1 (ERV)
Sitting in my kitchen soaking in the presence of my Heavenly Father – Thoughts and visions of past hurts flooding my mind – tears flowing I cling to my chest.
I sense a supernatural presence as I envision scenes from the past as a child – a teenager – and adult.
All the while, my face and eyes flooded with tears. I'm sensing a release of pain looking back and recognizing the origin of injuries. Suddenly I feel the seal of entombed pain break and shatter all around me! In awe and absolute amazement I shout, "I have been set FREE!! By the power and love of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I AM FREE!
The Gardener
I hear the lonely sound of a gardener hoeing his garden. I envision an enshrouded gardener. I cannot see his face, but I sense his presence close by. I have the assurance he is aware of every episode of my life. He stands by, unnoticeable, but waiting – waiting and watching – quietly hoeing – working the ground.
I sit sobbing. Peace surrounds me as the sound of the lone gardener continues quietly with focused, inexhaustible energy working the ground – He continues tilling.
I know I’m being visited by my Healer. I envision Him gently opening scarred-over injuries; releasing the imprisoned child – the confused teenager – the lonely battered adult. Released into the atmosphere – visions dissipating into the atmosphere – released by the Healer.
As He works in silent strength, my eyes remain closed. Tears spill through lids – flowing down innocent cheeks.
As His right hand slices through the scar tissue releasing a lifetime of lethal toxins that have caused excruciating pain and venomous memories, He gently and lovingly holds me securely in His tender embrace; affectionately whispering His love song into my yearning ears and thirsting soul.
Thank you, my Healer ~ My Creator ~ My Father and Lover of my soul!
Is your garden in need of tilling? Are there past hurts and crushing heartaches that are causing you deep pain?
If so, go into your secret place, your quiet place and release them without fear or shame to the Gardener of your soul.
Then listen in silence as He tills the damaged soil of your soul. And as He releases those lifetime of lethal toxins from your heart, and begins affectionately whispering His love song of healing into your thirsting soul, raise your hands in praise and shout GLORY to His Holy Name!
“For I know the plans that I have for you;” declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you
a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NAS)
What is your Godly desire – your spiritual dream? Do you envision yourself doing a grand work for the Lord? Are you at times moved to tears by thoughts of God’s power flowing through you? Do you imagine yourself in the midst of God’s people doing His work?
Regardless of your current lifestyle or your present state of mind, there is a confidence in you that knows with absolute certainty your life will be different. Though you don’t understand it, you have an undoubted assurance that soon, you will be doing exactly what God wants you to do.
What is this phenomena that keeps your spiritual dreams from being dashed to the ground, and will not surrender your heart to defeat?
On the day Jesus became the Lord of your life, the Holy Spirit became alive within you. It was on that day, guided by the power of the Holy Spirit, you began your journey. You're being led on a new course – a pathway fresh and alive with the redolence of the Spirit of God.
The Holy Spirit breathes Godly dreams and desires; thoughts and visions into you spirit. He places them before your eyes – He births expectation within your soul. The stirring you sense deep within your heart – it is He. Though He is moving ever so quietly – His power is profoundly felt.
Breathe in the refreshing essence of God’s Spirit. Lift your eyes to catch a glimpse of His glory. As He extends His hand to you – As He manifests Himself to you, walk boldly toward Him. Don’t doubt that it is He. Rather, lift up your eyes and behold the face of the Father. He stands before you. His works are being worked through you. Walk in stride with Him – don’t run – but walk in His footsteps. They are straight and lead directly to the Throne of Glory.
Along His walkway you will witness miracles not only in your life, but in the lives of those who surround you, as well. Don’t turn back – you can’t turn back! You’ve come too far!
You are sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise. His mark is on your heart. Walk courageously with Him and you will know that what you envision; what you dream; the deep stirring – the works you see yourself doing – the songs you hear your singing – are not idle thoughts, ideas or illusions. They are REAL! They are the Spirit’s whisperings within your life. The Spirit breathes life into your heart to keep you going forward.
Go forth knowing He leads you onward. Go with Him. Walk with Him and fear not.
“It is I,” He says. “I am He.” “I know the plans that I have for you…to give you a future and a hope.”
Your voice, oh Holy One...
I attune my ears to Your voice only!
--------------------------------
Voices! So many voices! TOO many voices!
Angry voices! Loud voices! Controlling voices!
Fearful voices! Strong voices! Weak voices!
VOICES!!! I hear them and I cringe.
Shouting voices, all clamoring at the same time!
Simultaneous voices! Reactive voices!
Opinionated voices! Arrogant voices! Proud voices!
I am wearied by the voices commanding my attention –
demanding that I listen and agree!
Demanding that I listen and learn!
Boastful voices!
Contemptible voices!
Contradictive voices!
Deceptive voices!
Defensive voices!
Despicable voices!
Disgraceful voices!
Hateful voices!
Shameful voices!
Unloving voices!
I look to the marketplaces – VOICES!
I turn on the T.V. – VOICES!
I go online – VOICES!
So many voices! Too many voices!
My ears seek deliverance!
My ears seek relief!
My ears seek truth!
My ears seek peace!
YOUR VOICE, OH HOLY ONE! I attune my ears to Your voice!
Psalm 29:4-5; 7-9 – “The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord is over many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful, the voice of the Lord is majestic. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; Yes, the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon. The voice of the Lord hews out flames of fire. The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; the voice of the Lord shakes as the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord makes the deer to calve, and strips the forests bare, and in His temple everything says, “GLORY!”
Your voice is UPON THE WATERS!
Your voice is POWERFUL!
Your voice is MAJESTIC!
Your voice BREAKS CEDARS!
Your voice HEWS OUT FLAMES OF FIRE!
Your voice SHAKES THE WILDERNESS!
Your voice causes the DEER TO CALVE!
Your voice STRIPS THE FORESTS BARE!
Your voice causes me to shout, “GLORY!!!”
Psalm 68:33 – “To Him who rides upon the highest heavens, which are from ancient times; Behold, He speaks forth with
His voice, a mighty voice.”
You ride upon the highest heavens speaking forth with a mighty voice!
Psalm 33:9 – “For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded and it stood fast.” You speak and it is done!
I Kings 19:11-13 – “So He said, “Go forth and stand on the mountain before the LORD.” And behold, the LORD was passing by! And a great and strong wind was rending the mountains and breaking in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a gentle blowing. When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
Speak to me now, Lord. In Your voice filled with the wisdom of the ages. Come to the entrance of my cave. Speak to me here with Your voice as the sound of a gentle blowing. As You questioned your prophet Elijah, so ask me also, “What are you doing here, My Child?”
I will answer, “Hineni – Here I am!”
Silence the voices of fear, anger, resentment,
stubbornness, rebellion, unbelief, hatefulness,
shame and deceit that surround and torment me!
Place Your mantle upon my head and guide me in Your way.
Teach me Your ways, Lord! Teach me Your ways. I have consumed the bread of idleness far too long.
Open my mouth that I may speak of Your glory.
Open my mouth that my voice be heard over the raucous
noise of this out-of-control world.
Let Your name, power, and majesty flow forth from Your child’s lips, proclaiming the majesty and glory of You, Father.
My soul waits in silence for You, only. Speak Lord.
Your servant is listening.
Be Still and Know!
“Cease striving and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
~ Psalm 46:10
I will stop trying to make “it” happen and know that God is in control of my life. I will trust in Him and not in myself. He is God!
I will look to Him ALONE for the secret longings and desires of my heart. He knows each and every one. He is God and He is the strength of my life.
He is the Keeper of my dreams and desires. I will cease striving and know He is God!
